Sport Clips and the agency quickly went to work, creating a fully-integrated campaign to spread the word about the scholarship program including TV spots, in-store promotional items, online banner ads and web graphics, radio spots, social media content and public relations outreach.
The campaign, which began in mid-October, will conclude on Veteran’s Day, when Sport Clips locations will give $1 from every haircut service to the program. In addition, many Sport Clips will offer free haircuts to active-duty and retired U.S. service members.
Since 2007, Sport Clips has helped U.S. service members connect with their loved ones through the Help A Hero program, which benefits the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ (VFW) Operation Uplink Free Call Days. This year, Sport Clips recognized another emerging issue among those returning home from serving our country – the need for financial support for veterans who are pursuing a higher education.
Sport Clips decided to expand its Help a Hero program to offer scholarships to veterans and approached Stone Ward to assist in increasing awareness of this new initiative. Each scholarship will provide up to $5,000 of financial support to veterans who are pursuing an education at post-secondary institutions, including trade schools, vocational and career certification programs.
Stone Ward is proud to support our veterans and looks forward to assisting Sport Clips in providing more scholarships in the coming years.
